Killer Small Business Marketing

Monday, March 31st, 2008

By M McClory Small business owners are always watching for new marketing and advertising ideas. Thats just the nature of small businesses. We watch the junk mail for interesting techniques, and we definitely pay attention to the internet. Those of us who have other business-owner friends ask questions about what is working and what is not. We toss around a lot of ideas and try many different techniques before we figure out exactly what works for us and inevitably something changes. There is one thing that always holds true for small businesses, and that is change. Therefore, my advice is to pay attention to the latest marketing trends but to avoid them at all costs whenever possible! Why? Well, quite simply I have found through experience that the latest trend marketing techniques tend to over-promise and under-deliver. Anytime I receive an offer from a marketing firm that promises me a low fee for high ROI I turn tail and run. The entire situation is a learning experience, and let me tell you that marketing copywriters are VERY skilled at using the psychological triggers that make you WANT to buy the services as fast as possible. But, I warn you not to fall prey to these techniques. Remember that the beast you are dealing with is a MARKETING FIRM. Their sole purpose is to GET PEOPLE TO BUY. Yes, they even use their techniques to build a customer base. The first few times that you bypass a hot new marketing trend, or the only way to turn visitors into customers its painful! Ill admit that. However, sit back and ask yourself the following question the next time you find something hard to pass up: Am I willing to WASTE all of the money, time and effort that have already been invested in my marketing campaigns in order to risk changing to a new and most-likely unproven technique?Personally, I generally answer with a quick, theres no possible way! And I move on. This is not to say that changing the way you sell your business should be avoided! I have put together some tips for assessing whether its time to try a different proven marketing technique. If the Wheel Spins, Why Reinvent? When your current marketing practices are steadily bringing you new clients or site visitors, and you are experiencing an acceptable conversion rate You would be crazy to swap a known technique for something else just to shake things up. Consider adding to your current marketing, but if what you are doing is getting you measurable results, I say LEAVE IT ALONE! If you MUST try something new, pick a small percentage of your target audience and watch the results very closely. You may be surprised in a good or bad way or you may find that the new technique really doesnt make a difference either way. Success And Failure Are Measurable. Therefore, you should be measuring the results of your marketing efforts. How do you do this? Well, theres one way that is a bit archaic but its free and simple to use. Send an email, or a letter, and then watch to see how many new visitors you get over the next two weeks. Or, offer a discount coupon. Or, theres another technique that is a bit more involved sort of. If you are able to maintain and update your own website, one of the ways that you can determine if your marketing efforts are driving in traffic is to make a page on your site that is a duplicate of your index.html page. Youre your advertisement recipients to that URL. Then watch the stats on your server to see if people are indeed responding as you had intended. To balance these numbers, you can also measure the number of hits on your standard front page. Compare the two, and see if your marketing efforts seem to be making a difference. YOU NEED MEASUREMENTS OR THERE IS NO SENSE IN ADVERTISING AT ALL! Patience the key to trying something newIf you have decided to change your marketing plan, and to incorporate something new, keep in mind that Rome wasnt built in a day and neither are successful marketing campaigns. Sustainability is important, and that means it may take a while for long-term effectiveness to appear as a result of your new techniques. In general, almost any marketing technique will boost your sales and client-baseeventually. The results may not be immediately visible however. Changing a marketing plan is one of the most stressful parts of operating a small business, however when you are patient the benefits will eventually materialize. Marketing Techniques that Promise you the World Yes, as your mother used to say if it sounds to good to be true, it most likely IS too good to be true. Small business owners often fall prey to marketing firms that promise AMAZING results and can prove them through testimonials. Um, can I tell you a secret? As a freelance writer I have been asked on more than one occasion to write FAKE testimonials. I refuse, because I have been mislead in the past as a result of similar techniques and honestly I cannot write a testimonial for a service that does not give me results. NOW, if you try a new technique or software product and it DOES work for you by ALL means write a testimonial. But, be honest! Anything worth having is worth working for. Another of my mothers adages. Guess what? She was RIGHT! If you want to successfully market your business, you are going to have to DO something! Add New Techniques to your Current Marketing Plan. This is something that many small business owners do not realize. You can add techniques to your marketing plan, as you might remember from above, without scrapping your current proven techniques. Dont STOP doing what works in order to try something new! You cant afford to risk your customer loyalty! ConclusionWhen you are running a small business, marketing is often the key to staying afloat. Remember that you need to be wary of marketing scams which promise you the world. If you have a marketing plan that works, there really is no reason to modify it. However, if you decide to give some new techniques a shot, do it with care and ALWAYS keep track of the results. A good marketing campaign will bring you at LEAST 3% return on the investment you have made. Theres a good place to start! Religious Tolerance - A Message To All Nations

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

By Anthony Smith Religious Tolerance. (A message to all Nations.)Many today, as was in the beginning of so called religious freedoms, have introduced other strange gods and doctrines. This is accepted today as tolerance of religious freedom. This is the way of life that is acceptable to many creeds, nations, tongues and peoples, around the world. We as a nation accept all manner of religions; this has been made acceptable and tolerated by society. But what we as a nation can’t tolerate, is for this country to be, associated with, or support these false gods. Gods word speaks of many false gods that we are neither to follow, nor fellowship with, from Baal to the Ephesians goddess Diana. Would Satanism be tolerated and acceptable to teach in our schools? Would this religion be tolerated in our houses of leadership? I think not. Many tolerate false gods and accept them as a religious right, just because we as a nation have been based on religious freedom. But I would say that even these types of religions would not be tolerated, in sort of a pick and choose society. What about Somalia and other countries in Africa that are physically under attack by Muslims trying to force their religion on entire countries? Is this also religious freedom for one religion to attempt this type of action? Christianity never trys to force Gods word on anyone. We preach the truth and let the word convict, then it is between the individual and God. This was evident in the case of Jim Jones and David Corresh. All manner of false religions are in need of hearing the Gospel to be converted and saved, by Jesus, to assure that all have heard the truth. We see this commandment in the writings of Paul in 1st. Corinthians 10:21; Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. For Christians there is no fellowship with, devils, workers of darkness, nor any spirit of the anti-Christ.Php 2:15; That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; The light of the world. Can we be a light mingled with dark clouds hanging around us and over us? Are we a light that has gone dim by associating, integrating and mingling ourselves with these workers of iniquity? Are we, as a Nation, to revert back from where we were just 2,000 years ago, worshiping and believing in every wind and doctrine, worshiping the devils of mans imagination? Will we fall from the grace of God and be a Nation of unknown gods? Are we to loose our identity, as a nation, a people a light, because of religious tolerance? This is the fact that Paul was bringing out to the Corinthians in, 1st.Co 10:20; But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Putting great emphasis on; I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.1Co 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) as there be gods many, and lords many. Many gods and many lords, but whom do we worship? There is a Church in China that has announced that Christ has arrived in the flesh, in the appearance of a woman, a female that was born of mother and father. This is a fulfillment of prophecy that you have already read. Go not to this woman, seek not her counsel, and seek not to proclaim her as Christ, for she is not the Christ. She is a false, Christ, prophet, doctrine and teacher. She was sent and proclaimed by this church to deceive. Ask yourself a question, Would I tolerate this Christ in our country or even my neighborhood? If not then where is her religious tolerance? Where does religious tolerance start becoming a type of heathenism? Can we as a Nation, or in fact other nations, fall by rejecting the Truth of the Gospel? Lets read, Oba 1:3; The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? Pro 26:26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation. Has pride overshadowed our fear of the Most High God? 1st.John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Mark 7:20-23; And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Can Mark, 7:20-23, also be associated with a nation, can a nation be defiled by tolerating false gods? Yes. Psa 33:8-12; Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. The Bible states; The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. froward mouth; Perverse, that is, turning from, with aversion or reluctance; not willing to yield or comply with what is required; unyielding; ungovernable; refractory; disobedient; peevish.(KJD) Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. We must be a Nation that is known as a land of God the Almighty, for the Gospel states, Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. Being otherwise brings a curse with it. For God will bless whom He will Bless and Curse whom He will Curse. Pro 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Isa 23:9 The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth. 1Co 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. Gal 4:8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. Leave the unrighteous, ungodly, anti-Christ religions alone, let them do as they will, for God shall separate the unbeliever at the time of judgment, but be not partakers with them nor stand with them for their causes. Do not be partakers of their sin, this is a commandment of God. Here is the end of the matter of religious tolerance as prescribed by God; 2nd.John 1:9-10; Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. Wood Turning for Summer - Planting Tools of Yesterday and Today

Friday, March 28th, 2008

By Darrell Feltmate Wood turners as a group tend to be people who appreciate the out of doors, whether it be to walk in the woods as pure enjoyment of nature or a search for the wood that makes a treasure yet to be seen. Such a turn of enjoyment also tends to make the turner of wood into a person who appreciates a summer garden with its blooms and foliage of myriad colors. How then, might one integrate the two? Wood has long had its place in the garden. The earliest tools were made of wood whether the handle or blade of a shovel or trowel. Many gardens are edged with wood either in the form of rounds from a trunk, boards laid as brick or the more modern railroad tie given new life as garden surround. The fascination with raised bed gardening in recent times has only added to the use of week as border and edging. Moreover, who could forget the fascination of peering through the wooden pickets of the old fence into the forbidden world of the neighbor’s garden when one was merely a lad or lass, thinking of the first strawberry of the season? Even for something as simple a planting tool, the wood turner may step forward. These days a trowel of metal and plastic is the norm while only a few short years ago a gardener would have used a wooden dibber, sometimes called a dibble, to get the seeds and bulbs in place. Certainly no English gardener would be found without one. There are still a few places where one can purchase a dibber, and organic gardeners have become once again champions of these simple tools of wood, but for the turner they are a simple project and can be made to fit one’s hand. A piece of suitable wood such as maple or ash is placed on the lathe and turned round. A handle of about four inches is turned at one end and then the other is given an elegant curve to a blunt point. For the purposes of later planting, particularly of bulbs, a series of rings is etched along the curve with the pint of a skew, about an inch apart. These serve as depth gages to ensure that seeds and bulbs are planted to the correct depth. Usually a dibber is used in well prepared garden soil. Either it is used to lightly scratch a line for planting small seeds or inserted a bit deeper for the large ones. It is at bulb planting it excels. For a bulb to be planted three inches deep as for instance in the case of a gladioli, the dibber is plunged to a depth of four inches as indicated by its depth lines. This allows for later infilling of the hole by a bit of dirt and leaving the three inch depth required by the bulb. In fact the hole tends to fill up with earth, especially in good, well tilled ground, and this discourages many who do not know the trick to a dibber to conclude that it is no good. In fact, it is merely necessary to insert the tool and rotate it in a small circle to the circumference of the bulb to leave the proper hole with lightly packed earth on the sides. A bulb is inserted into the hole and the dibber plunged immediately beside it and rocked back and forth. As the dibber is removed it backfills over the bulb and leaves a hole for watering that will gradually be filled with earth from the gentle erosion of the summer rains. As one uses a dibber in the garden from the hand of the wood turner it is not hard to realize that we have joined the ranks of gardeners from yesteryear in carefully planting for the future. How a Type I Diabetic Got Rid of Her Severe Burning Diabetic Neuropathy Foot Pain in Two Minutes

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

By Kelley Eidem The other day, ‘Mary’ came back to my health food store to tell me about her extraordinary miracle. You see, Mary is an enthusiastic young woman in her early twenties who suffers from Type One diabetes. Not too long ago, Mary went into a coma and had to be rushed to the hospital thats how bad her diabetes is. She has also been suffering immensely from nerve damage in herfeet and legs. Her condition had grown worse over time. Her pain got so bad she was recently rushed to the hospital in the night. All they could do for her was to inject her feet with pain killers to numb her pain. If you knew Mary, this wasnt a solution she wanted. So she came to see me. She decided to get a bottle of sub-lingual 5,000 microgram vitamin B-12. Three days later she popped back into the store with a big, big grin. She told me that she had put one of the tablets under her tongue right after shed left the store on the way to her car in the mall parking lot. Here comes the miracle! By the time she got into her mothers car her terrible burning pain was gone! And it hadnt come back! She took a tablet every twelve hours or so. She said she sometimes she could feel the burning start back up each time she was due for another tablet. But each time the nerve pain vanished! If you know anyone, ANYONE with diabetes, please forward this letter to them do it even if they dont have nerve painbecause they might get hit with it in the future because sooner or later, nerve damage is extremely common in diabetics. Your kindness in forwarding this information could save them from having their foot or leg amputated thats how important this is. You know what? Cancel that last sentence. Send this message on to everyone on your buddy list, because it will reach more diabetics that way. Monday, March 24th, 2008

By Shuford Davis Affairs can happen to anyone in any relationship. And if you think you or your relationship are not vulnerable to an affair, then you are more vulnerable than you know. Do you know the warning signs that your spouse could be having an affair? Read on to discover the top warning signs and what you can do about them. Mood changes: Emotional distancing by withdrawal or aggression. Spouse is edgy and defensive when asked, Whats wrong? Changes in personal schedule with long times away with elusive explanations or with plausible explanations that still give you the feeling, Something is not right! Unusual attention to appearance such as weight loss, new wardrobe, etc. specifically including sexy undies. Trips all alone: The excuses can be I need time to myself; going to visit an old friend; or its an extra work trip. These have to be unusual with no previous history, particularly as it relates to work. Follow the money: Check for unexplained, unusual charges on credit cards, withdrawals from accounts, and cash advances. Pay attention to vague or specific comments about being unhappy, restless, not fulfilled. Sex: This can be a mixed picture. Sometimes there are complaints about your sex life. Sometimes sex stops altogether. Sometimes the sex life increases and improves so that when the affair comes out its all the more dumbfounding. In my practice I have found that many times a spouse will not want to know if their partner is having an affair. Do not ignore these warnings signs. By Hege Crowton Halloween is just around the corner and preparations are in full swing all over the country. Yards are being decorated with all the colors of fall, the scarecrows are coming out of the sheds and here and there we might already see huge spiders hanging. Resting in their cob webs hanging from trees in peoples front yards. We all know what this mean. The scariest night of the year is almost here. The kids already know what they want. Pumpkins scarier than the neighbors lanterns and costumes you would not even begin to dream of. Wait a minute, isnt that what Halloween night is all about? Candy, kids and costumes. It sure is, and guess what? A cool costume is a must, yourkids will agree with that. The question then is how you get away with getting them a cool costume for a reasonable price? Have you ever considered making them yourself? With some help and guidance it is not as hard as you think it is. For kids, Halloween is all about costumes and pumpkins, even all the candyhas to come second to this. Why not get a book with Halloween ideas and have your kids go thru it with you, that way they become a part of it all from the very beginning. In other words, they will have a say in how their costumes, pumpkins andyour Halloween decorations should be. Doing it yourself gives such a satisfaction. Tell you what, you are running out of time. Production and Pricing of Craft Show Items

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Natalie Goyette This is where you can really make or break your craft showcareer. Being able to produce quality crafts as efficiently andaffordably as possible is the key to making a tidy profit fromcraft shows. How Production Evolves How you handle production of your craft show items will evolveover time. Initially you may produce all your craft items alone. This will likely be the most cost effective way to start yourcraft show creations. As your business grows, you may decide itis best to find employees who can recreate your artistic flair so you can build more products and increase your overall revenue. Time and experience will help you streamline your productioncycle for maximum efficiency. You’ll learn as you go how longit takes to produce your craft show items, how long to allow fordrying, setting or baking, what quantity of supplies you needfor a certain amount of inventory and how much inventory you’llneed for a one-day craft show. Basically, you are going to getbetter and smarter about how to build your craft show items soyou can maximize the profit! Always have some form of quality control if you’re workingalone, such as a friend or family member checking your craftsfor sturdiness, appearance, etc. If you make jewelry, havesomeone else try on a necklace to make sure the clasp works, itdoesn’t fall apart while putting it on and that you are pleasedwith the appearance. If you have put a frame around a smallpainting, ensure the frames sturdiness, so your craft customerisnt disappointed when it falls apart. Think about how you willtransport your products during the production process, makingthem sturdy enough to travel or finding strong packing materialsthrough your suppliers. Over the years, your products will evolve as you makemodifications to existing designs and add new products. Withfeedback from customers and keeping abreast of current trends,as well as developing new skills and interests, you’ll probablyadd new products and remove slower-moving ones. As soon as yousee a steady decline in sales, consider dropping theproductdon’t get attached, this is business. You can always useslower products as bonuses, gift items or for raffle drawings ordonations. Pricing The crucial question about pricing is: How do I price my craftshow products for the best resultsgood sales and good profit? Can I have both? You may fear that if your prices are too low,you could incur the wrath of your competitors or make lessprofit. If your prices are too high, your sales will drop. Theright price is one of the most significant factors incontributing to your success or failureand one of the mostdifficult factors to decide upon. There are several schools of thought on how to arrive at thebest price for your work. Again, time and experience will beyour best guides. It is easy enough to raise or lower yourprice with each craft show you attend and eventually find thebest fit. You may even find yourself changing prices atdifferent craft shows as you learn the shopping patterns of yourcustomers. If someone seems interested then walks away, askthem why they didn’t buy and if they say price, ask what theywould be willing to pay. If you get the same informationrepeated several times, it’s an indication of what customers arewilling to payat least at that craft show! Although you need to test your prices, don’t make drastic priceadjustments in the same weekend, as customers may complain. Makesmaller adjustments in different towns based on craft showresults and customer feedback. Sometimes the difference inimproving your sales can be as small as $1.00, such as loweringa $12.00 item to $10.99. And sometimes selling fewer items athigher prices can be more profitable in the long run. Take time to consider your price carefully. Consider cost ofsupplies and labor, craft show fees, transportation and otherexpenses involved. The efficiency of your production will alsohave an impact on how much profit you can make from your craftshow items, and ultimately both will determine your success onthe craft show circuit! Adventures in Cheese Making - Walk this Whey

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

By Paul Rinehart Ive had homemade cheeses before and loved how they tasted, but I never got around to making cheese myself. So one day recently, I mustered up the courage and began the process of learning how to make a simple cheese. Making cheese is a lot simpler than one might think at least when it comes to making a simple cheese. You can make it just by heating milk and adding vinegar, which is fairly similar to the way I improvise on a recipe requiring buttermilk. When I make imitation buttermilk, all I do is add lemon to the milk until it curdles, the only difference is that when it comes to making cheese, you harvest the curdled part. The solid substance is called the curd, the leftover liquid is called whey the same curds and whey Miss Muffet enjoyed. This seemed a little too easy and this type of cheese is fairly soft, with an almost cottage cheese-like consistency. I researched a little further to find a way to make a firmer cheese? The answer came Rennet! Rennet is traditionally made from the stomach of a calf, it is salted after the beast is slaughtered. You can buy rennet easily through various cheese-making supply websites. I was too impatient to wait to get the real stuff, but I found out that there were other forms of rennet that would give the same results. After looking for what seemed like an eternity, I found a recipe for vegetarian rennet. I took about a pound of nettle leaves, a couple of ounces of hops, and some yarrow flowers, put then in a pot and covered it with just enough water to immerse the plants. I brought it to a simmer and then let it sit for a while to steep. I then drained it and added about a cup of salt. Another thing that helps in cheese-making is conditioning the milk. Through my research I found that I had to add live cultures but where to get them? The answer ended up being rather simple, buttermilk and yogurt. In the same pot as the milk, I poured a half-gallon of milk, one quart of buttermilk, and a whole container of yogurt. I put in half a pint of heavy cream for good measure. I let this sit for a good two hours and guess what? It began to curdle. I wanted thicker curds though, so I poured a half-cup of my homemade rennet in and the curds got thicker in just a matter of minutes. To promote the growth of the bacteria in the yogurt, I let it sit a while, warming it slightly over the stove, careful to not even bring it to a simmer. I could now see the curds and the whey. The whey was a pale yellowish hue and the curds looked a little bit like scrambled egg whites. I then lined a colander with cheesecloth and proceeded to filter the curds from the whey. I put the curds into a bowl and added salt to further help the removal of excess liquid. Next, I returned it to the colander lined with a fresh layer of cheesecloth. I was anxious to taste it, and wow, it actually tasted like cheese! The next step is optional putting your cheese in a mold and pressing it. To make my press, I rummaged around the kitchen to see what I could use. I took an old plastic sherbet container and put a bunch of holes in it. I then placed my cheese curd filled cheesecloth inside and placed it in a large bowl and but a plate on top of my curds. Now the problem was having enough weight to press it. I placed two big cans of tomatoes on top and, voil, it worked. After pressing it, I put the cheese into the refrigerator and let it set. It tasted a lot like cheddar. Next time I try to make cheese, I probably use this same recipe but will try to improve upon it. When I master this one, then I think Ill feel a little more like trying a different style of cheese. Happy cheese making! Paul Rinehart is the founder of Online Cooking. Secured Loan Occupies Lion Share In The UK Loan Market

Monday, March 17th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kirthy_S]Kirthy S Applying for loans is quite inevitable in today’s competitive world. Man’s unlimited wants and need for expansion be it business, home improvement or to simply fund one’s own education abroad would push him to apply for loans. Secured loan has a wider loan market in UK and one can get easy approval for secured loans with a collateral laid. A homeowner with any employment status ranging from self-employed to unemployed has an equal chance of securing loans for they have a sound collateral or equity to back their needs. Why is secured loan a popular choice of homeowner? -Secured loans are easily approved than an unsecured loan. -The loan rates are minimal due to the ‘no-risk factor’ faced by the lender. Finding the Right Wedding Hair Style

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

By Jeanette Shinn Your wedding day is one of the most important days in your life and you want to look your absolute best. Finding just the right wedding hair style to compliment your face, your eyes, and your wedding gown - can be one of the most difficult tasks of preparing for your wedding. How do you decide what is the right wedding hair style for you? How you decide which style is right for you has a lot to do with personal preference. Secondary considerations would be factors such as is your wedding a daytime wedding, or an evening wedding? Will the wedding and reception take place indoors or out? Are you going to be wearing a headpiece, and if so - what kind? Generally the guidelines are just that - guidelines. Your choice to follow the wedding hair style guidelines depends on the theme you’ve chosen for your wedding and how formal or casual you want your wedding to be. Up styles are suitable for all wedding settings. Wearing your hair up lends an appearance of elegance and sophistication. So if you are having a formal, black tie event then an up style might be a good idea and in some circles it might even be demanded. Even if your wedding is not an ultra elegant affair. Even if you are having a beach wedding with cookie favors instead of wine favors an up style is still appropriate and will still lend a touch of class to your wedding day. Wearing your hair half up is suitable for both indoor and outdoor weddings; though the style is used most of the time for daytime weddings - it also works very well for night weddings. This choice has become popular because it combines the flattering and softening features of wearing the hair down without giving up too much of the formal advantage of an up style. Check with your fiance. This hair style is often preferred by guys for that very reason. Wearing the hair down is gaining in popularity, but if you will be outdoors for any amount of time - it might not be such a good idea. It is a beautiful look and compliments many style of headpieces, but its staying power may not be exactly what you will be looking for. This is the easiest wedding hair style to create, but the hardest to keep looking fresh. Whatever you choose, your style should reflect you and go a long way in complimenting your gown and headpiece. These are just a few things to keep in mind when deciding on a wedding hair style. Jeanette Shinn is a wedding professional with over a dozen years experience making dreams come alive.
