Uncover Hoodia Weight Loss Testimonials

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

By Dan Ho Uncover Hoodia Weight Loss Testimonials It seems like everytime you turn your head you are hearing about more hoodia weight loss testimonials. These testimonials are even coming from major news sources (both TV and print) that have reported on the amazing hoodia plant. For example, BBC Correspondent Tom Mangold remarked: “But more significantly, we did not even think about food. Our brains really were telling us we were full. It was a magnificent deception.” Or this one from Leslie Stahl for CBS 60 Minutes: “I’d have to say [Hoodia Gordonii] did work.” after she went to South Africa to try some hoodia herself firsthand. After the media onslaught more and more people are becoming aware of the seemingly magical appetite suppressing qualities of this amazing plant. Hoodia products are now appearing all over the Internet and as time passes hoodia weight loss testimonials continue to mount. To be sure, many of these testimonials are an encouraging testament to the power of hoodia gordonii and the success people are having with it for achieving their weight loss goals. On the other hand, it’s important to also be somewhat skeptical of hoodia weight loss testimonials as it’s pretty easy to fabricate a testimonial, wouldn’t you agree? So what you should focus on is the quality of any hoodia product you would consider purchasing. In my opinion, the top indicator to look for is something called the hoodia CITES certificate displayed on the website of the hoodia vendor. You see, hoodia gordonii is an extremely rare plant that is tough to grow and takes a long time to mature. In addition, South Africa is the only place in the world where it grows natively. Because the demand for hoodia products are much higher than the supply of real hoodia gordonii, a lot of products on the market don’t even contain the real stuff — in short, they are fraudulent. One of the best ways we know of to make sure you are getting real South African hoodia gordonii is to look for the hoodia CITES certificate since this is needed to export hoodia gordonii legally out of South Africa. In the end, hoodia weight loss testimonials are inspiring to read, especially by people who want to shed weight and fat themselves, but the most important thing to do is to carefully select a quality product if you want results. T-Shirt Quilts - Preserve Your Memories

Monday, November 26th, 2007

By John Lercari If you’re looking for a creative way to recycle some old clothes and preserve a few of your precious memories at the same time, making a t-shirt quilt is an easy way to do both. This fun project allows you to make personalized quilts from all those old t-shirts you have accumulated over the years. T-shirt Quilts: Shirts from concerts, schools, or athletic events can all be combined to create a special trip down memory lane in the form of a unique quilt. Add t-shirts with cartoon characters, favorite sayings or those with some special meaning and you’ll surely end up with a future family heirloom. Follow this simple guide for suggestions and tips on how to make your own special t-shirt quilt, what supplies you may need along with some helpful and useful hints. First, decide on the size of your quilt which is usually based on the number of t-shirts being used. Sort the shirts by size keeping in mind that even numbers work best. For example, 20 t-shirts could be used to make a quilt with five rows by four rows. Try to find shirts with images that are relatively the same size, 12 inches is a common sized square used. Next, cut the side seams of the t-shirts from the bottom up to the armpit area, then across the sleeves and through the shoulder seams. It is very important to reinforce the back of your shirt with the interfacing BEFORE cutting out the designs or squares. T-shirts are made of material that’s too stretchy to be cut and sewn without the added support of the interfacing. It’s also wise to use your scrap fabrics as a press cloth to protect the t-shirt’s designs from the hot iron. Using your ruler, square up the interfaced pieces making sure each one is the same size before cutting. It’s helpful to leave a few inches around the edge of the design if possible, and also to make a cardboard template to ensure even sizing. Now decide on the positioning of your designs and add strips of complementary colors between blocks if desired. Many times there are images with widely varied color schemes used in t-shirt quilts and the sashing often helps to tie it all in together. If you’re making a one-sided quilt, then feel free to quilt away, but if your creation has images on both sides you’ll want to use “invisible” thread so as not to distract from the design. Sew each of the squares together forming rows and then sew those rows together with added fabric borders if desired. Now lay out the backing and the design sides next to each other, wrong side up, add the fleece or batting and then pin together evenly. Trim if needed, and then stitch the edges leaving an opening large enough to turn the quilt right side out before sewing the rest closed. Supplies you may need: Clean t-shirts An Iron Light weight, iron-on interfacing Scraps of light-colored fabric Sashing Polyester batting Durable fabric for backing Square ruler Fabric scissors Sewing supplies Helpful hints: Plan your design on paper first and double check measurements before doing any cutting. Use extra sharp scissors to prevent t-shirts and fabrics from fraying. Wash t-shirts in a mild detergent that is free of fabric softener to ensure that the interfacing will adhere properly. Extra blocks can be creatively used to make personalized purses, pillows, curtains and throw rugs just to name a few. DUI Fines

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

By Eddie Tobey DUI punishment has become harsher over the past decade, and promises only to become more severe. Intimate familiarity with the penalties authorized or mandated by statute as well as the purposes of various sanctions is absolutely necessary for effective representation at sentencing. At the sentencing stage, the defendant’s guilt will have been determined or admitted. This is, surprisingly, a prime opportunity for the DUI lawyer to prepare the court regarding the requirement of justice. Ultimately, the purpose of DUI statutes is to reduce the number of DUI offenses. Sanctions against convicted DUI drivers attempt to promote this through specific and general deterrence, as well as rehabilitation. Sentences may include incarceration and/or fines, community service, restitution, suspension or revocation of the driver’s license, and rehabilitation programs. A defendant can expect to pay a fine anywhere from a few hundred dollars up to several thousand dollars. The financial impact of a DUI conviction eventually extends beyond the courtroom. The real financial burden may include higher insurance premiums, loss of employment and even loss of family or child custody. The real financial cost thus cannot be easily calculated. However, a further consideration in this context is the comparison between the amount of the fine and the financial resources of the defendant. Courts have ruled that since the defendant did not have the resources (or a reasonably near expectancy of them) to pay a $350 fine, that the fine was excessive and therefore, constitutionally prohibited. Furthermore, the Supreme Court has ruled that the jailing of an indigent defendant solely because he or she is too poor to pay a fine violates equal protection where the offense would otherwise not be punishable by incarceration. Sentences of fine or imprisonment are thus not only challengeable on the grounds of abuse of discretion, but are subject to constitutional limitations as well. Saving Money on Your Wedding Photography

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

By Gary Thompson The guy has finally popped the question and the big day is almost here. Everything is in place except for hiring someone to take the wedding photos. You want great wedding pictures, but you dont have a lot of money. What can you do to save money and still get great wedding photos? If you go too cheap on your wedding photography it will be obvious. Keep in mind that this is the day you have been waiting for your entire life, and you will want to remember it forever. If you follow a few simple ideas you can still get great wedding photos and save money. The first thing is to get a professional wedding photographer. There is only one chance to get these pictures right. Becky Jenkins wanted to get the best Athens, Georgia wedding photographer she could find, but her uncle offered to do the pictures for free. He had been dabbling in photography and seemed to take good pictures. When she finally got the pictures back they were either too dark or over exposed. Becky was devastated, but there was nothing she could do at that point. You can cut corners in a lot of areas, but if you go cheap on your photos you have to be very careful. You can find professional wedding photographers with packages in every price range including yours. A popular trick for getting good candid shots is to place disposable cameras on each table. This is a fun way to get good pictures for cheap, and to get pictures that the wedding photographer would miss. The problem with disposable cameras at weddings is that two or three dozen rolls of film are very expensive to develop. Instead of putting them on the table, maybe just hand them out to select people at the wedding. Another way to save money is to be selective with what pictures you want. Maybe you are fine with only a few professional pictures being taken at your wedding reception. If you use the disposable cameras as mentioned above you wont need as many professional photographs and this can save you money. Decide early what is most important to you and make sure the wedding photographer gets only those pictures. Quality is better than quantity. There are so many ways to save money on your wedding and still throw an event that everyone will remember forever. With a little ingenuity you can save thousands and still have a wedding that looks like a million bucks. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and when it comes down to it the only thing thats important is that you are marrying the person you love. Anniversary Blues

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

By Margaret Paul, Ph.D. Jamie and Kurt are a sweet, successful couple in their early thirties. In spite of loving each other deeply, they often find themselves in conflict over seemingly minor issues, as most couples do. Recently, just one week before their wedding anniversary, they had a particularly hurtful argument. Jamie had expressed her unhappiness about Kurts busy schedule and the limited time he finds to spend with her. As usual, Kurt promised to try harder and they got through it. But having not dealt with the real issues at hand, the problem was bound to resurface. Jamie unknowingly began planting the seeds for their next bout when she decided to bring up the subject of their anniversary. Kurt, I just wanted to remind you that next week is our anniversary and its really important that we plan something special for us. Kurt took a deep breath and responded, Jamie, you know I dont really like celebrations. Oh come on Kurt. Its really important to me. Nearly pleading, Jamie continued. When you really love someone, you try to do what is important to them, right? I made the plans last year and now its your turn. Why dont you surprise mesomething really romantic! Okay? Silent and distant, Kurt gave a slight nod, which was all the assurance Jamie needed that this anniversary would be exceptional. She could barely work that week fantasizing about what Kurt would do to demonstrate his everlasting love. Finally, the day arrived! Kurt had agreed to be home by six o clock. By twenty past six, Jamie was anxious. With each glance at the clock, her pacing quickened. At last, Kurt walked through the door looking tense and clutching a bouquet of red roses. Jamie took the roses with a wary smile, anticipating what was coming next. Without even so much as a glance, Kurt turned around, got a beer out of the fridge, and sank into the couch, grabbing the remote control. Jamie watched intently, feeling her blood turn to ice. Thats it? she asked. Thats what? Thats it? Its our anniversary! Jamies tone grew sharp. You said you would plan something special and romantic and this shaking the roses in her clenched fist, this is it? I never said I would do anything, Kurt retorted. I told you it wasnt my thing. Don t lie to me! You nodded yes! No, I didnt. I didnt agree to anything. You always want me to prove that I love you. I hate that! Even if I did want to do something for our anniversary, I certainly wouldnt want to after you tell me you expect it! Sullenly, Kurt turned back to the TV. You take all the fun out of everything. Jamie dissolved into tears. Well if you knew how to show me you loved me, I wouldnt have to say anything. Without a word, Kurt turned off the TV and left the house. Once again, Jamie and Kurt were left feeling unheard and unappreciated. Their conditioned response was to blame each other for their hurt feelings and angry behavior. In order to understand how things went so wrong, we need to look at the interaction in terms of their intention to learn or their intention to protect. Jamie starts out trying to control Kurt by making him feel guilty. Kurt, not wanting to be controlled and not able to communicate how being controlled makes him feel, moves into resistance, which is his form of control. Jamie thinks that laying on more guilt (control) will accomplish her objective to have a romantic anniversary. Since Kurt is frustrated with his inability to express his brewing feelings, he moves into silence (control). Finally, when Kurt comes home late and sits on the sofa, he demonstrates passivity (control) to which Jamie responds with anger (control). Kurt uses more resistance (control) and Jamie uses more anger and guilt (control). Kurt gets defensive (control) and disappears (control). Attack, resist, blame, defend, on and onSound familiar? Neither Kurt nor Jamie want to hurt each other. Unfortunately, they are also not open to learning about their own feelings and behaviors, or each others. Resorting to controlling behavior keeps them safe and eliminates the need to effectively communicate their fear. Fear is what motivates their intention to control and in the face of fear, their love dissipates. Instead of each person taking full responsibility for his or her own happiness and unhappiness, they gave that job to each other. Imagine that your feelings are a child within. Imagine what would happen if you had an actual child that you kept trying to give to others to take care of. That child would feel scared and insecure most of the time. Yet that is exactly what happens when we make others responsible for our feelings - our child within feels scared, insecure, angry, depressed, and anxious. It is only when we take responsibility for our own feelings, which we can do through the intent to learn, that we will feel secure enough to give up the need to control and resist control. It would be easy to blame Jamie for their problems - if only she didnt get so needy and angry, everything would be fine. Its just as easy to blame Kurt - if only he was more attentive and caring. Yet until both Jamie and Kurt are willing to take responsibility for their own feelings, and until loving themselves and each other is more important than controlling or not being controlled, their conflicts will continue. The act of taking responsibility has nothing to do with blame or fault. Each person taking full responsibility eliminates the need to be right and that is an essential step to a mature and reasonable outcome. What if Jamie had started with, Kurt, I love celebrating our anniversary and you hate it. Can we talk about what would work for both of us? They could have more easily resolved the issue. And what if Kurt had responded to Jamies initial controlling statements with caring and openness instead of resistance, such as, Honey, you know I dont like celebrations, so please dont expect me to plan something. Lets talk about how we can make it work for both of us. Either one of them could have moved into an intent to learn and taken responsibility for creating what they wanted. Each of us has the choice to begin to notice our intention. If each of us changed our intention from controlling to loving, and learned to take responsibility for our own feelings, we would each be participating in healing our relationships and thereby healing our planet. Funky Wedding Favors Did It For Me!

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

By Emily Tanner Last month, we attended the wedding of a good friend. Everything about the day was completely individual from the bride’s dress to the personalized candy wrappers. It was these funky wedding favors that did it for me - what a fantastic idea! It seems that lately, all of the weddings we have been to blend in to each other with no particular distinguishing features separating them from one another. Of course, every wedding is special but it just goes to prove that the little details make a big difference to a guest’s opinion. The day started with a simple registry office service after which we blew champagne bubbles over the happy couple. The groom [who is a firm believer in all things 'green'] had suggested the bubbles as an alternative to confetti. He explained what a nightmare confetti was to clear up and how much of it these days is not biodegradable. They really are quite an eccentric couple with some interesting ideas, though I agree that the bubbles were far less messy than confetti and - in actual fact - far more romantic! The bride’s dress was absolutely incredible - the detail was really quite extraordinary. As for the bridesmaids, their dresses were 50’s prom-style in warm pink with orange sashes. Believe it or not, the colors worked brilliantly, despite how awful they sound. They were [so I later discovered] to match the personalized candy wedding favors awaiting us at the reception venue. The reception venue was completely kitted out in orange and pink. It was like Cinderella meets Bollywood! Organza drapes hung from the windows and the tables were scattered with orange and pink rose petals. The floral centrepieces consisted of tiger lilies, gerberas and roses with oodles of draped ivory. The place settings were finished off with funky wedding favors in the form of personalized candy bars. At each place was a perfectly placed chocolate bar all encased in gold foil and finished with a personalized candy wrapper. Each candy wrapper was [naturally] orange and pink in color and had ‘Katie and Simon’ printed on the front. They really were the king of funky favors! Personally, I wasn’t sure about the color theme before seeing it. However, once I saw it all together I couldn’t believe how great it all looked. They must have worked so hard to match all of the colors up together, I mean, I didn’t even know that you could buy personalized candy that actually co-ordinated with the rest of your wedding! It looked awesome! As the evening progressed, everyone made polite chit chat. However, the one thing that everyone kept talking about was the personalized candy wrappers. What a fantastic idea and [more importantly] what delicious chocolate! Why a Blacklight Will Take Your Night Fishing To A New Level

Monday, November 19th, 2007

By Daniel Eggertsen If You Have Never Used A Blacklight While Night Fishing, You’re Missing Out We all know the benefits of night fishing - bigger catches and calmer waters are just two, however, night fishermen have several challenges that “day time” fishermen do not have to deal with. One of the most difficult challenges is, of course, being able to see your line to find out if you have had a hit. Here is one way of easily being able to watch your line at night. Use a blacklight and a fluorescent fishing line. When fishing at night, it may be a few seconds before you know you have one on the line. By this time, the fish could already be under your boat or have begun it’s mad dash to the opposite shoreline. By using a blacklight, your florescent line will glow in the dark, making it sometimes easier to see your line than during the day. You’ll be amazed at how your line lights up in the dark waters. There are several types of blacklights on the market specifically made for night fishermen. Probably the most popular is the “Stan Sloan” brand. Cabela’s also has an Optronics brand blacklight they are selling for about $50. Just as important as the blacklight is the type of line you use with it. Berkley makes a great flame green fireline florescent line that works well with blacklight night fishing as well. The reason this particular line works so well is because the florescent coloring is not painted on the line, but rather is chemically mixed into the actual line during production, which means the color lasts much longer than other brands. P-Line also makes a good fluorescent line that is clear. You will need to test to determine which one works best for you. The use of a blacklight during night fishing is a common debate among avid fishermen. Some think the black lights may spook certain fish, others couldn’t live without using them. Give it a shot and see for yourself. You may be pleasantly surprised with the results. How to Make a Dynamite First Impression When Dating

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

By Alex Soco Huntresses, you may well ask, “Is makeup all that important?” Let’s go to the studies. Researchers asked men to talk with six different women who sometimes wore makeup, sometimes didn’t. Their study, “Lipstick as a Determiner of First Impressions of Personality,” revealed that the male opinion of each woman was very different when she wore lipstick.More about this will come! A man and a woman getting to know each other are like two little animals sniffing each other out. We don’t have tails that wag or hair that bristles, but we do have eyes that narrow or widen. We have hands that flash knuckles or subconsciously soften in the palms-up “I submit” position. There are dozens of other “involuntary” reactions that take place in the first few moments of interaction. The good news is that we can learn to control these presumed involuntary reactions. The moment you set eyes on each other, your Potential Love Partner subconsciously reads the subtleties of your body language. In these first crucial moments, he or she can unconsciously resolve to try for romantic takeoff or abort thoughts of love. His or her mind then becomes computer-like, and your PLP continues to make rapid decisions about you during your first conversation, your first date. more dating resources on - http://www.plusdatings.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Alex_Soco http://EzineArticles.com/?How-to-Make-a-Dynamite-First-Impression-When-Dating&id=97880 websites to buy phentermine phentermine diet pills com cheap phentermine no doctor buy phentermine in missouri

4-Year Colleges vs Technical Schools: Your Choice

Friday, November 16th, 2007

By Kate Leas College is not for everyone, but that does not mean you shouldnt pursue some sort of higher education or job training. When you think about your future, what do you envision? Are you doing something you love, or are you just working for a paycheck? If you are one of the many who is trying to make a decision about where to spend your money and invest your future, read on. This article provides a comparison of 4 year colleges and technical schools. Which one is right for you? How to choose between 4-year colleges and technical schools:Ask yourself these questions and then consider the benefits and disadvantages of each type of school. What are your goals? Do you have a specific career goal? What are your educational goals? Do you want to learn as much as you can about a variety of subjects? Do you want to learn as much as you can about one specific topic (become an expert)? What are your strengths? Weaknesses? Would you benefit from a shorter more targeted program? Lifestyle. How will school fit into your life? Would you benefit from non-traditional scheduling such as online, evening, or distance learning? 4-year colleges and technical colleges both offer such options, but it varies by school so check with any schools you are interested in attending. What do you need? Realistically, what sort of degree or training do you need to pursue your dreams? Research your desired field–know what the requirements are and how they compare to the programs you are considering. The US Department of Education website offers resources for career and training research. Be a consumer. Check equipment; is it new and up-to-date? How does it compare to the equipment you will be using on the job? Trust me, this can be tedious but it is quite important. After graduation I realized I should have taken more time to research the computer programs employers expected me to know for technical writing jobs. Had I been better informed, I could have taken extra courses dealing specifically with those programs. Investigate the following: campus size, current and former students, faculty and staff;Find out if the school is accredited and licensed; Do they make extraordinary claims? Will your credits be transferable? 4-year CollegesSome people like to learn just for the sake of learning, while some are more focused and driven and use school as a steppingstone for job advancement. If you are interested in more scholarly pursuits a traditional 4-year college might be your best option. Benefits: liberal arts training applies to many fields, diverse topics to explore, prestige, college life Disadvantages: expensive, time consuming, may get degree in area you no longer wish to pursue, high admission standards and prerequisites, job market may be slower upon graduation-may require additional training Technical SchoolsIf college was for everyone, technical schools would not exist. Some people may feel a stigma is attached to technical schools. In a society where attending college has become standard, we lose sight of the value of skills training. People feel abnormal and may be angry if they dont want to go to college but feel pressured to do so anyway. Benefits: shorter duration, focused programs, easier admission standards, flexible scheduling, certifications not necessarily offered at 4-year colleges, hands on training Disadvantages: may be viewed as less prestigious, can be expensive, may be less room for exploration of other subjects, accreditation, for-profit institutions Many of the fastest growing jobs do not require a bachelors degree but do require post-secondary education (education beyond high school) These jobs include: Medical Assistants Social and human service assistants Home health aides Medical records and health information technicians Physical therapist aides Physical therapist assistants Fitness trainers and aerobics instructors Veterinary technologists and technicians Hazardous materials removal workers Dental hygienists Occupational therapist aides Dental assistants Personal and home care aides Self-enrichment education teachers Occupational therapist assistants Environmental science and protection technicians, including health Preschool teachers, except special education Respiratory therapists For more information on job growth statistics see the Bureau of Labor Statistics webpage.
